The forever keepsake to remember the love
We are a nation of pet lovers.
The worst possible thing that happens is when our beloved animals pass over the rainbow bridge.
Unfortunately the cost to privately cremate and be able to keep the ashes of our loved ones is becoming unaffordable for so many. Having that memento to keep forever, to remember our love, shared experiences and comfort us is so important.
Links Legacy was created to help those who cannot afford to provide their furry family with a private cremation and have their ashes back home.
An urn, scatter tube or memorial vessel to keep forever. Something so personal and important, any pet lover who wants this, should be able to have it. Our pets are our family, we love them more than anything in this world.
Our mission
At Links Legacy, our mission is to provide the option for private cremation for those unable to afford it.
The chance to have and keep your beloved pets ashes, to bring them home after they pass the rainbow bridge.
When our loved ones pass there are three options, home burial, communal cremation or private cremation. The cost of private cremation where the ashes are returned to the family is almost four times the cost of communal cremation.
Devastatingly some families have to make the decision based on finances.
Home burial often isn't an option for many of us, we live in flats, rentals or do not want to do this. Communal cremation is often the most common option, some people do not require a keepsake to keep the memory of their loved pets alive and that is absolutely fine.
However, for many of us, the private cremation option, the return of our beloved ones ashes are so important. Having a keepsake forever in the home, or the option to scatter the ashes in our fur babies most beloved place is so important.
At Links Legacy our goal is to give you the choice. Losing our dog or cat can be the most devastating and soul shattering experience that we go through. The last thing you want to have to do is opt out of the option you really want because you cannot afford it.
Our inspiration
If you feel as strongly as we do that anyone should have the option to keep the ashes of the pets please donate.
This is the story of why Alysia, our founder, wanted to create this fund. Alysia is an animal hydrotherapist, her career and life is around improving animals life and welfare. She works in a busy 24 hour veterinary hospital.
One day she was in work and saw an elderly lady bring in her cat on a weekend. The lady had lived with this cat for over 20 years, she loved it dearly. She was on a fixed income and despite loving this animal so deeply, for so many years, could not afford to have her privately cremated. She had to bring her animal in, have her put to sleep, and then leave. With nothing.
The staff were amazing, she was very complimentary of the care and understanding, but nothing could be done about the cost of private cremation.
It broke Alysia's heart. She wished she could offer to pay the bill for her but was not in a financial position to do so.
We want to create a fund for those who really need it. Those who love their animals so deeply, and want to have that keepsake but a lack of finances steal this crucial and important services.

Providing comfort, one angel at a time.
At Links Legacy, we believe that every one should be able to keep their pets close.
"I've said goodbye to 4 dogs over the years and having their ashes back was a crucial part of the grieving process. They were as much part of the family as any human relative, so losing them hurt just the same. They also deserved a final resting place too, whether that be a carefully chosen casket to keep them back home in or a tube to scatter them somewhere they loved to play. Every family deserves to have their pets returned to them, just like any other loved one."
